James joined our team in 2016 as a CPA. He has over 30 years of experience in corporate and personal tax planning, merger and acquisition support, strategic planning for family-owned businesses, business valuation, and
representing corporate and individual clients during IRS audits.

James is an accomplished professional who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our table. His background as a manager, director and executive offers a whole new dynamic for our team.

He is a graduate of UNC-Greensboro and lives in Winston-Salem with his wife, Jamie. He has two grown children, and has been active in the Boy Scouts of America, Twin City Kiwanis, and the UNCG Alumni association. His roots also run deep at Appalachian State, as he was born in Boone when his parents were there.
